With the difficult times that we are facing in the nation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, our very own Wildcat, Sadie Russell and her lovely family have been supporting the community doing during lockdown through Monnet’s Movement.

Started by 10 year old Monnet after seeing a homeless person at the start of the pandemic she felt the need to provide aid to those in need. Since then, Monnet’s Movement has been collecting donations and delivering packages to hostels and shelters throughout Nottingham to help the homeless and vulnerable.

Within the first 10 days they have made and delivered 243 food and toiletry care packages; along with 38 extra family sized boxes of food,  bags of nappies, wipes, games and toys. To date a staggering 1073 care packages are been made up and distributed to various hostels and shelters.

It’s safe to say the last few months have been a worrying time for many across the country.  Every day we see overwhelming love, respect and support for our wonderful front line workers and rightly so. However; often the homeless and vulnerable are furthest away from our thoughts so it has been important to ensure all of society is provided and cared for.

Those involved in the movement have been blown away with your love and generosity in donations that it relies on and are extremely grateful for the love and kindness shown in this difficult time.

The Nottingham Wildcats are extremely proud of the community it resides in and our family that dedicates it’s time to such cause.
